Bio
Hi! My name is Chushi Li and you can call me Chrissy. I am studying Visual Communication Design and will be graduating this fall. I am working as a part time in a beauty shop. Outside of design, I like to spend time with friends and my cats.
Inspired
I am inspired by my surroundings, especially when I travel, I can see the other side of the world. By doing that I can explore different culture different scenery to expand my thoughts and mind to be inspired. Asking others for their opinions are another way to inspire myself when I am stuck. Actually I don’t have a quote, but I read a sentence that said, “the best to plant a tree is ten years ago, secondly is now. Better late than never.”
Influence
I was influenced by a lot by Chinese culture because I grew up in China until I graduated high school. China is a big country that has many national minority, their culture are attractive. As a designer, we have to get wider perspective of the world, therefore, learning different culture and consider from different angles are important. Hopefully I can have an open state of mind.
Vision
After graduation, I hope I am able to find work as a UI/UX designer in the bay area. I really enjoy drawing, I hope I can become a professional illustrator in the future. Once i have achieve my goal in the industry then I may consider working as a part-time. Therefore i will have more flexible time to become a volunteer at an animal shelter to care for animals.

Proposed “Preliminary” 505 project
Topic: Covid-19
Problem: Due to the high amount of people catching the Covid-19 virus, this virus puts people at risk.
Purpose: Help people to prevent infected with Covid-19.
Chrissy, I liked your quote, I just saw that one recently and it made an impact on me as well. I think it is great you're interested in doing a project on covid-19. It's so relevant and you can have a more immediate solution to a problem we are all experiencing right now.

ReplyDeleteNice to see (virtually) you again Chrissy! What is one of your favorite illustrators? I like to illustrate as well. This year has definitely created a new normal, especially with our current state dealing with COVID-19. I wish you luck on how you can help our surrounding community to be safe and be aware during shelter in place.
ReplyDeleteI too enjoy traveling, and think it's so important to observe different ways of living in order to gain new perspective. Hopefully it will be safe to travel again soon! Your proposed topic sounds like it could be pretty helpful, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
